The Fairfield Middle School will host a ?Buy One, Get One Free? Scholastic Book Fair starting Monday and ending April 8.
Throughout the week, all FMS students will have the opportunity to visit the book fair during reading or G.O.A.L. class. The book fair also is open each day before and after school. The community is invited to stop by and look at the wide selection of books.
Before the jazz band concert April 7, the book fair will be open from 6:30-7 p.m. Parents, students and community members are invited to attend. During the special fair, all savings are passed on to the students and families.
FMS also is participating in the ?One for Books? program during the week. Students and parents can donate loose change and bills to help raise money for the school library. Money raised will not only benefit the FMS library but national organizations such as Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Kids in Distressed Situations and the National Center for Family Literacy. Scholastic will match all money raised here for the national organizations.
In addition, parents may donate books to classroom libraries. A bookplate will be added to the inside front cover of every book donated to the classrooms.
