Fairfield Middle School names Students of the Month

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School 'Students of the Month” award. The purpose of this award is to acknowledge positive contributions of FMS students at school. These positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom. The ‘Students of the Month' certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade level teaching team.
Naomi Stiemsma was chosen to receive a 5th grade November Student of the Month. She is very consistent with making sure to attend all zoom sessions for online content and is always prepared with her materials and ready to learn. She does a great job participating and helping others in class when needed. She works hard to get her work done in a timely manner, and the work is always above and beyond what is required. She wants to do her best and it shows. Keep working hard, Naomi!
Corbin Starr was selected as a 5th grade November Student of the Month. Corbin is dependable and takes leadership roles in the classroom without being asked. He also helps his classmates whether it is with technology or answering their questions. I also appreciate that he is always in my Zoom meetings, learning and participating. Congratulations, Corbin, on receiving this prestigious award!
The 6th grade team is proud to announce that Mareyn Dunkin is the recipient of the November Student of the Month Award. Mareyn looks to brighten everyone's day with the positive attitude she brings to class. She is kind to others and actively seeks to include her classmates in activities. She works hard in class and continually strives to understand by asking questions and clarifying when needed. Congratulations, Mareyn! Keep up the good work!
The sixth-grade team is proud to announce that Miguel Rosales-Patlan is the recipient of November's Student of the month. Miguel is an extremely polite young man who still understands the importance of using please and thank you each day. He works very hard at his education and has a 'no quit” attitude especially when things might not be very easy for him. Congratulations Miguel!
Nicole Hunger has been selected as the 7th grade Student of the Month. Nicole has such a positive attitude. She really helps to set the tone for her class. Nicole works extremely hard and goes above and beyond. We have come to expect high quality work from her. She is proactive and exhibits great Trojan PRIDE. She participates well in class and is respectful of everyone, which proves she is an asset to her class. Way to go, Nicole!
Lily McDow takes her work seriously. She goes above and beyond to give her best at all times. She doesn't just do enough to get by, but puts in the extra effort to show and communicate what she
knows and provide the very best that she can. She is always positive and kind to others. Lily also asks good clarifying questions when she needs help. She always turns in excellent work and will not
settle for mediocrity. She participates and is always engaged. For these reasons, she has earned the 7th grade November Student of the Month Award. Congratulations, Lily!
The 8th Grade Team is happy to announce Elizabeth Simmons as the November Student of the Month. Elizabeth comes to class prepared, and is respectful to the teachers. She asks questions
when she needs help and works hard on her assignments. Keep up the great work, Elizabeth!
The 8th Grade Team is proud to nominate Kendall Sinn for Student of the Month. He consistently gives his best effort, is a friend to all, and always exhibits kindness and thoughtfulness. Kendall is
proactive by knowing he is responsible for his decisions, and he plans ahead to be successful. Congratulations, Kendall!
