Fairfield Middle School names Students of the Month for February

The following Fairfield Middle School students were recognized by their teachers as outstanding students during the month of February: Lenora Felt, Taylor Bettin, Kendra Allison, Armoney Adams, Janell Ferguson, Sy Whitham, Payton Van Zee and Leon Estey.
Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School Students of the Month award. The purpose of this award is to acknowledge positive contributions of FMS students at school. These positive contributions range from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom. The Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade level teaching team.
The following are descriptions of the winning students submitted by their nominator:
' Leon Estey is being rewarded with a 5th grade Student of the Month Award. As of late, Leon has worked extremely hard at handing in quality work and staying caught up. Leon has been attentive in class and has taken on the role of a class role model with leading groups when put in charge. I can depend on Leon to help others and show them how something is done. He participates in group discussions and shows he is well prepared for virtual class each day. Keep up the hard work you have shown you can do. Congrats.
' Armoney Adams has been selected to receive the February Student of the Month Award. Armoney is a very hardworking student. She has done a nice job keeping up on her work during all the changes we've had at school. Armoney double checks to see if she owes or is behind on any work. She listens and participates in class. She works well with others and is a good partner. Armoney has made lots of progress this year. Keep up the great work, Armoney. Congratulations.
' It is with great pleasure to announce that the recipient of the February 6th grade Student of the Month is Lenora Felt. Lenora is a very dedicated student who always gives her best effort. She is a very detail oriented student who not only completes work but wants it to be of her BEST EFFORT. She displays a willingness and desire to learn daily in the classroom and her teachers really appreciate and applaud such effort. Congratulations Lenora, keep up the great work.
' The 6th grade teachers are proud to award Taylor Bettin February's Student of the Month Award. Taylor has worked extremely hard in class during the month of February. Taylor is a very bright student who wants to learn. He is very punctual and determined about getting his work on time and to a high expectation. Taylor is very caring/compassionate and is always willing to help out when it is needed. Congratulations, Taylor, keep up the great work.
' Congratulations to Kendra Allison, who has earned the 7th grade February Student of the Month Award. Kendra is a hard worker. She is a very conscientious student. She has a positive attitude and comes to class every day prepared to learn. She uses her class time wisely and sets a positive example. Kendra works very well with others and is always kind to everyone. We are so proud of you, Kendra.
' The 7th grade February Student of the Month Award is proudly awarded to Janell Ferguson. Janell works hard every day. She is a leader in every group. Janell comes to class every day prepared to learn and participates passionately in discussions and debates. She has high expectations for herself and challenges herself and her classmates to meet those expectations. Way to go, Janell.
' The 8th grade team is excited to present Sy Whitham with the Student of the Month Award. Sy is a respectful young man to all around him. He participates in class and is willing to ask for help when needed. He comes to class prepared, and is a joy to have in class. Congratulations, Sy, and keep up the great work.
' It is with pride that the 8th grade team awards the Student of the Month Award to Payton Van Zee. Payton is a dedicated student who always puts forth her best effort. Payton shows that being a friend to all and being consistently engaged doesn't mean someone can't also be quiet. Congratulations, Payton, for being such a good role model and exemplar of Trojan PRIDE.
