Jun. 8, 2023 10:27 am
Fairfield Middle School administrators asked teachers to nominate students who "show Trojan PRIDE consistently in and out of the classroom."
Students who were selected were honored during an assembly at FMS on May 30. Their nominating teachers wrote the following descriptions about their qualities, which were read aloud during the awards presentation.
AWARD WINNERS
The student selected to receive the Trojan PRIDE Award is one that consistently comes to class prepared, treats others with respect, makes good choices, and demonstrates integrity. This student is an engaged learner, and I love that this student is always smiling and it seems that nothing fazes her. She has taken many speaking engagements this year which I know has taken her out of her comfort zone. Her shy demeanor doesn’t hold her back because her passion is greater and that’s what drives her. I also enjoy having her in my classroom because she is dependable, and disciplined, and she has a can-do attitude. I can always depend on her to help her classmates with assignments or give her input through classroom participation. You are on the right path to success, continue to work hard, persevere, and take on new challenges. Don’t give up and continue to move forward! Congratulations to Hayden Fulton on receiving the Trojan Pride Award!

He participates in class and is a great partner to anyone he works with. He is focused and puts forth his best effort on everything he does. He is a great leader in and out of the classroom! I have enjoyed having him in my class and can't wait to see all the great things he accomplishes. Congratulations, Kellen Copeland!
This student brings joy to the classroom each day. She focuses on positivity, and is one of the most proactive students I have seen. She truly lives the 7 habits, thinking about her choices and what she can control for herself and to help others. She is honest, which comes easy because of her high level of integrity. She has a great sense of humor and her sweet, kind soul is loved by all peers. Kinzley Dunkin is well deserving of the Trojan Pride Award.
Kyler Atwood is a very respectful young man. He comes to class ready to learn and does so with a positive attitude. He shows great responsibility in getting his class work done, and is a great role model. Kyler shows integrity and can be counted on to lead others in a positive way. He knows when to have fun and when to take time to learn. He is a great person in and out of the classroom! Keep up the great work, Klyer!
This student works incredibly hard challenging herself to all tasks she completes. She is very prepared and responsible in all she does. She takes it upon herself to be the classroom vacuum picking up after others and helping out the custodians daily. She puts full effort into everything she completes and shows how much she cares. We appreciate her positive attitude and great work ethic she brings to the classroom. You will do amazing things! Congrats, Jaycie Bakker!

This 6th grade boy has shown what a great Trojan is each and every day, more importantly he does so through his actions. He has consistently given all his effort in everything that has been asked of him. He strives to become better every minute of every class. He has exemplified the meaning of being a great student who is passionate about learning. Most importantly is his attitude towards learning, constantly reflecting what honor, respect, and hard work will do for you and those around you. This student actively participates at FMS both in and out of class. She is not afraid to try something new and to challenge herself. This student raises the expectations of their classmates daily. Even when the job requires extra toughness, this student doesn’t hide from his classroom responsibilities. Instead, he rises to the occasion by asking questions, raising interesting points of discussion, and helping a fellow peer who is down. He works with a questioning mind, a smile, and never fails to make those around him laugh. He is an unspoken leader in his class, who consistently leads by example, reflects on his actions, and models good behavior for any and all students that surround him. Bobby Short makes others around him better. Congratulations, Mr. Bobby Short.

She is always kind to the younger students in her Trojan Time. She can always be depended upon to do her best work. She is a quiet leader amongst her peers. She is prepared for class and always works hard. We are glad to have Aurora in class. Keep up the good work, Aurora!
This shows up every day ready to learn and with a positive attitude. Challenges are something this student looks forward to and works to overcome, she isn’t afraid to ask questions and will always help someone out if needed. She attacks things quietly and is involved with many different activities on top of her classroom duties. While doing all these things she always has a smile and a can-do attitude no matter the circumstances. She is a model to her peers but also to younger students on what we look for at FMS. Involved in multiple activities, a leader in the classroom and always exemplifies Trojan PRIDE. Her smile is contagious and we are thankful that she shares it with us. Congratulations, Miss Bella Buckley.
