First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is hosting Glory Road, a gospel quartet in concert at 7 p.m. Oct. 13.
The concert is open to the public.
Glory Road is from Council Bluffs but includes a Fairfield native and Pasons College graduate, Rand Brookhart, the son of Marge Brookhart and the late Gordon Brookhart.
Other members of the group are Wyatt Joy, Larry Shanno and Shawn Cannon, plus sound technicians Karen Shanno and David Eledge.
The group formed in 1998 when members discovered they had a common interest in southern gospel style music and a desire to develop a music ministry to spread the message of God?s love, power and grace through song.
Glory Road performed in Fairfield seven years ago.
Glory Road also will perform at 10 a.m. Oct. 14 at Fairfield Foursquare Gospel Church. This concert is open to the public, too.
Samples of the quartet?s music from its ?Chapter VI? recording is available to hear online at www.GloryRoad.org.
