Fairfield schools plan conferences

Parent/teacher conferences in the Fairfield Community School District are planned Nov. 5 and Nov. 7.

Elementary schools

Conferences are set from 4-7:30 p.m. Nov. 5 and Nov. 7 at Libertyville, Pence and Washington elementary schools.

The teachers for students in prekindergarten through fifth grade will be in their respective rooms. The conferences run in 15 minute sessions.

Parents are asked to access the school website www.fairfieldsfuture.org for information and to register for a conference time. Those without Internet access should call their school office.

Middle, high school

Conferences are set from 5-8:30 p.m. Nov. 5 and Nov. 7 at Fairfield Middle School, Fairfield High School and Fairfield Opportunity Center.

Parents attending middle school conferences can pick up their son?s or daughter?s report card and IEP report from a welcome table in the front lobby area. All sixth- through eighth-grade teachers will be at tables in the cafetorium. Parents can proceed to each table to visit with the teachers. Shared teachers or specials teachers who also serve fifth-grade students might be located in other places of the building depending on their needs.

Coffee, cookies and snacks will be provided.

Parents attending high school conferences can pick up student schedules, report cards and building maps in the high school office. All teachers will be in their respective rooms, and there are not specific scheduled times for each teacher. Parents can go to the rooms of the teachers they would like to visit and wait if there happens to be a line.

Early dismissal, no school

Due to the parent/teacher conferences, students will be dismissed at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 5 and Nov. 7, and school will not be in session Nov. 8.
