Fairfield splits on opening day
The Fairfield Trojan baseball team split with host Williamsburg on Monday. The Trojans took the opener 10-1 and were defeated 7-2 in the nightcap.
This was the season opener for Fairfield (1-1).
Among the highlights for the Trojans in Game 1, Hunter Hoskins, Tristin Waugh, Kosta Papazoglou, Austin Simpson and Cooper Drish each had two hits.

This was the season opener for Fairfield (1-1).
Among the highlights for the Trojans in Game 1, Hunter Hoskins, Tristin Waugh, Kosta Papazoglou, Austin Simpson and Cooper Drish each had two hits.
Fairfield pitcher Graham Kuehl earned the win, hurling a complete game, yielding only one earned run, one walk, three hits, and striking out eight.
In the nightcap, Simpson had two hits and teammate Cam Baumann also had two hits.
