Life Chain Sunday will take place on Sunday, Oct. 4. Begun in 1987 in Yuba City and Marysvile, California, Life Chain is a peaceful, prayerful, public witness in support of life. It was begun by a small pro-life organization called Please Let Us Live, and has grown and spread throughout the United States and Canada.
Participants in Fairfield will meet at 12:45 p.m. at the City Parking lot, south of First National Bank downtown, for opening prayer and to pick up signs. According to a news release from Jefferson County Right to Life, participants will hold pro-life signs with slogans such as 'Adoption - the loving option” or 'Pray to end abortion,” while standing and praying silently along Highway 34 in downtown Fairfield. Participants are welcome to bring lawn chairs to sit in. Any questions, call Karen Crossland at 641-919-9037.
