The school year is underway across Iowa, and that means the 'Girls Who Code” club in Fairfield is starting up again.
The club, led by Maharishi School senior Shristi Sharma, is dedicated to empowering girls to create their own websites, applications and learn other computer wizardy. The club is divided into two groups based on age, one for third- through fifth-graders, and another for sixth- through 12th-graders. Students can participate online or in-person. Sharma said the club is an opportunity to make friends and learn a 21st-century skill. There is no cost to join and no experience required.
For more information, contact Sharma at ssharma@maharishistudents.org.
