Family Room Theater to present 'Get Smart'

"Get Smart," adapted by Christopher Sergel and from the series originally created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry, will be presented by local home-schoolers at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 4-5, at Full Gospel Revival Center in Kalona. The Family Room Theater will have 27 students in this production. Admission is by donation.

Based on the 1965-'70s television series, in this bright comedy-satire, Maxwell Smart is off on a bizarre new case in which he must stop the sinister organization known as KAOS from their most shameful plot. KAOS' plan this time is to prove its power by blowing up the Statue of Liberty! This is too much, and Smart springs ? perhaps it should be said ? stumbles into action. Assisted by beautiful Agent 99, Smart proceeds from one gigantic blunder to another, each, however, somehow turning into a master stroke. "Get Smart" is a fun play for the whole family!
