'Festival of Talents' names winners
The Festival of Talents was held Wednesday, July 16, in the Washington Community Center during the Washington County Fair. The beautiful fair evening brought out a full house of enjoyment seekers. The contestants were ready to showcase their talents. Performers ranged in age from 6 to 21 years old. The crowd showed its appreciation for the acts by providing much applause.

The Festival of Talents was held Wednesday, July 16, in the Washington Community Center during the Washington County Fair. The beautiful fair evening brought out a full house of enjoyment seekers. The contestants were ready to showcase their talents. Performers ranged in age from 6 to 21 years old. The crowd showed its appreciation for the acts by providing much applause.
The winners in this year's show in the Sprout division were: first-place, jazz/acro duet, Morgan Schroeder and Kathyrn Stephens of Burlington; second-place, jazz solo, Savannah Hall of Washington; and third-place, Kaelyn Townsley, Ellie Weiss, and Sydney Schroeder of Burlington. Hall will be the Sprout State Fair representative from the Washington County Fair.
In the Senior division, first place went to vocalist Kaylie Horak of Crawfordsville; second place to tap solo Kilie Akers of Mediapolis; and third place to contemporary jazz, Tympest Crawford of Brighton. State Fair Senior representatives will be the clog group consisting of Makenna Burdock, Holly Vittetoe, Hannah Fields, Brittany Sholl and Emma Stout.
