FFA members highlight safety
Safety is important in just about every aspect of everyone's life, but the farm is perhaps where caution must be exercised most carefully. Safety is important in just about every aspect of everyone's life, but the farm is perhaps where caution must be exercised most carefully. Members of the Washington FFA Chapter including Matt Moeller, son of Ed and Susan Moeller; Colton Twinam, son of Paulette and Lane Twinam; Tanner Knupp, son of Zeus and Jackie Knupp; McKenna Brinning, daughter of Kathleen and Shane Brinning; Jade Wells, daughter of Tim and Joni Wells; Brad Skubal, son of Caroline and Dave Skubal; Caleb Hora, son of Kevin and Jolynn Hora; Hunter Bell, son of Jason and Karen Bell; Macy Marek, daughter of Heather and Tim Marek; Travis Friese, son of Brett Wright, son of Lynn and Craig Wright; Chase Litchfield, son of Lonnie and Peg Litchfield; and Ty Stender, son of Kathy and Steve Stender presented to students of Lincoln Elementary School about the importance of farm safety. The members informed students about hazards around the farm such as augers, chemicals, lawn mowing, flowing grain, power washing, and operating a uni-loader.
?It went really well. I think the kids enjoyed it,? said Jade Wells.
The chapter has conducted this event for over 20 years now, and plan to continue keeping kids stay safe on the farm.
