Ten members of the Washington FFA competed in nine events at the Southeast District FFA Leadership Contents in DeWitt on Saturday, March 5.

Ten members of the Washington FFA competed in nine events at the Southeast District FFA Leadership Contents in DeWitt on Saturday, March 5.
The Treasurer?s Book prepared by Aaron Vittetoe, son of Don and Alicia Vittetoe, advanced to state competition where it will be judged against the other top books in Iowa at the Iowa FFA Leadership Conference in Ames. Addie Pacha, daughter of Kerrie Willis and Curt Pacha, and Emma Stout, Tim and Julie Stout, each earned Silver emblem awards for their Secretary?s and Reporter?s Scrapbook entries. All three books are a permanent record of the chapter?s activities over the past year.
Morgan Brinning, daughter of Shane and Kathleen Brinning, earned gold in Public Speaking with her speech titled New Age Reproduction.
In Chapter Program, Washington earned Silver. Team members are Makenzi Marek, daughter of Tim and Heather Marek, Gabe Greiner, son of Shawn and Heather Greiner and Jacob Hall, son of Greg Hall and Julie Pohren.
Gracie Griener, daughter of Shaun and Heather Greiner competed in the FFA Creed Speaking competition and earned the Silver Emblem rating.
McKenna Brinning, daughter of Shane and Kathleen Brinning, earned Silver in the Job Interview event.
In the Chapter Degree Knowledge test Tucker Renoux, son of Troy and Shelly Renoux, and Mason Rich son of Matt and Mary Jo Rich, earned Silver emblem ratings.
Addie Pacha and Libby Schnicker served as delegates at the convention.
Chapter members are looking forward to representing Washington High School at the Iowa FFA Leadership Conference in Ames, April 18-19 on the Iowa State University Campus.
