FHS alumna Daphne Hunt gets married

Daphne Lamson Hunt and Jeffrey Todd Strawn were married on Oct. 17, 2020, on Warrior Mountain in Colorado. They were joined by Hunt's brother and sister-in-law, Strawn's sister, two wedding crashers, and their two pugs.

Hunt is the daughter of Vicki Hunt of Fairfield and Chuck Hunt of Pella, and is a 1992 graduate of Fairfield High School. Strawn is the son of Susan Onstad of Plano, Texas, and is originally from La Crescenta, California.

Hunt currently works for the California Health and Human Services Agency, where she serves as an appointee of Governor Gavin Newsom to the position of Deputy Secretary of Legislative Affairs. Strawn is an analyst for the California Department of General Services. The couple reside in Sacramento, California, where they enjoy hiking, camping, and plotting their retirement to Iowa.
