FHS choir students in concert today at IWC

Fairfield High School choir students attended the annual Southeast Iowa High School Honor Choir Festival today, which will conclude with a concert at 7 p.m. in the Iowa Wesleyan College Chapel Auditorium in Mount Pleasant.

The concert will feature the IWC Choir during the first half and the Southeast Iowa High School Honor Choir during the second half.

Admission to the concert is $5.

The festival is an opportunity for students to perform the All-State repertoire, including ?Battle Hymn of the Republic? and ?America the Beautiful,? selected by Sandra Snow, with a large ensemble of singers from throughout southeast Iowa.

Bradley Miller will be the conductor. He is assistant professor of music, director of choral and vocal activities at IWC.
