FHS music department dinner show set Saturday
The Fairfield High School music department will present its annual dinner show at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the high school commons.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. for seating, with the program and dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The Fairfield High School music department will present its annual dinner show at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the high school commons.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. for seating, with the program and dinner beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The concert features the jazz band from the instrumental music department and many small groups from the vocal music department. All of the groups will be presenting programs filled with jazz, rock and popular music.
The meal is being catered and served by Fairfield Hy-Vee Catering.
Reservations are required and can be made by calling FHS at 472-2059.
The Fairfield Brass and Electric Jazz Band is one of the groups that will be featured. The group is made up of 21 instrumentals, filling a traditional-style jazz band of saxophones, trumpets and rhythm section. The group will present a mostly Latin music program, with tunes in the styles of sambas, tangos and bossa novas. Instrumental solos will be heard from Sarah Flinspach and Ashley Henkel on saxophone, Shannon Cochran on trombone, Matt McCan on trumpet, Michael Gookin on piano and Alex Gookin, Haven Tichy and Wyatt Andersen on percussion. Singing vocal features with the band will be Max Sloat and Sarah Flinspach.
Vocal groups featured for the show are: jazz choirs Jazz Explosion and The Raw Notes performing vocal jazz music; show choir High Society performing the music of Queen; men?s choir Gyz performing music arranged by former and current FHS students; men?s quartet The Testostertones performing its own arrangement; and the Freshmen Ensemble singing and serving.
