FHS students performing at All-State Speech Festival
The Fairfield High School speech team received 13 division I ratings and five division II ratings at the Iowa High School Speech Association?s Individual Events State Speech Contest March 9 at Vinton-Shellsburg High School.
In addition, Coren Hucke?s and Josiah Wilbur?s performances were designated as ?All-State Outstanding.?

The Fairfield High School speech team received 13 division I ratings and five division II ratings at the Iowa High School Speech Association?s Individual Events State Speech Contest March 9 at Vinton-Shellsburg High School.
In addition, Coren Hucke?s and Josiah Wilbur?s performances were designated as ?All-State Outstanding.?
Hucke performed an excerpt from Carl Sagan?s ?A Pale Blue Dot? in the area of public address.
Wilbur performed an improvisation that included a baker, a harmonica player and the situation of sneaking into the movies.
Wilbur will be performing at the IHSSA Individual Events All-State Speech Festival March 25 on the University of Northern Iowa campus in Cedar Falls.
