Fire
Fairfield Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident at 7:50 a.m. Saturday at Sixth Street and Grimes Avenue, for clean up and lift assistance. Michael Aaron Putman, 21, of Fort Madison, driving a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier, was determined to be at fault because the car was leaking anti-freeze, according to the fire department report. Oil dry was used and 14 firefighters were on the scene for nearly an hour.
