First-time veggie growers win Iowa State Fair awards
Shelly Palmer of Keota won second place in the Vegetable Crops First Year Exhibitor competition judged Tuesday at the 2014 Iowa State Fair.
This special class of competition is open only to persons who have never entered the Open Vegetable Contests at the Iowa State Fair. Entries consisted of one tomato, one green pepper and two other types of vegetables as chosen by the contestant.
