Lenten fish fry today at East Pleasant Plain church
EAST PLEASANT PLAIN ? The Knights of Columbus are hosting a Lenten fish fry from 5-7 p.m. today at the SS Joseph and Cabrini Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain.
The menu will include a whole catfish or shrimp, baked potato, side dish, dessert and drink.
Proceeds go to high school senior scholarships.
The public is invited.

Lenten fish fry today at East Pleasant Plain church

The final Knights of Columbus fish fry of the season will be held March 18 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield.
Women?s groups meeting
Women?s groups of First United Methodist Church will meet Thursday.
Ruth Circle will meet at 9:30 a.m.
Hannah Circle will meet at 1:30 p.m. at SunnyBrook Assisted Living.
Dance, game night March 11
Word of Life Lutheran Church will host a fifth-grade dance and game night from 7-9 p.m. March 11 at the church.
Chicken, biscuit supper set at Libertyville church
LIBERTYVILLE ? Faith United Methodist Church will have a chicken and biscuit supper March 12.
Carry-outs will begin at 4:30 p.m. Dine-in starts at 5 p.m.
The menu will include chicken and biscuits, vegetables, salads, pie and cake.
A free-will donation will be collected for the meal.
Lenten Quiet Day open to all
WASHINGTON, Iowa ? A Lenten Quiet day is being offered 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 12 at Crooked Creek Christian Camp.
There is no fee, and anyone can attend, however, those planning to attend are asked to register online at www.crookedcreekcamp.org/lenten-quiet-day.html or by calling the office at 319-653-3611 so organizers will know how much food to prepare for lunch.
The morning includes a guided quiet time and, in the afternoon, attendees will have opportunity to walk the trails, use the prayer labyrinth or reflect in the lodge on their own.
