Fishing derby at Oakland Mills this weekend

The Henry County Optimist Club is sponsoring a fishing derby at Oakland Mills Park on Saturday, June 8, from 1 to 3 p.m.

The fishing derby is for anyone from 5 to 12 years old. Youth for Christ will be assisting in the event.

Tackle and bait is provided for participants or they are welcome to bring their own. There will be prizes.

Help will be available for young fishermen or women. If parents are not in attendance, they must bring a signed release.

There is no fee for this event.
