Fishing for oceans of fun
Clover University hosted by Washington County Extension Office summer camp held an ?Oceans of Fun? Day Camp for kindergarten and first-graders with the help of eight County Council Members. Camps were held July 27 and 28, in Kalona and at Marr Park.

Clover University hosted by Washington County Extension Office summer camp held an ?Oceans of Fun? Day Camp for kindergarten and first-graders with the help of eight County Council Members. Camps were held July 27 and 28, in Kalona and at Marr Park.
Campers enjoyed diving into ocean depths, learning about the size of creatures, and exploring the complications of pollution. Youth experienced group activities including ?Sharks and Minnows,? ?What Time is it Mr. Shark,? and playing at the park.
Youth volunteers included: Joceline Spenner, Austin Stalder, Gracie Greiner, Roman Kiefer, Peyton Cuddeback, Leah Evans, Averi Kron, and Jillian Nafziger.
Thirty-one students finishing kindergarten and first grade participated in the day camp sponsored by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Washington County.
