Flags fly high for National 4-H Week

Derick Sandburg and Dakota Longbine, members of the Highlanders 4-H Club, gathered Oct. 5 to kick off National 4-H Week by hanging a 4-H flag in Ainsworth for all the community to see. Sandburg is the son of Rich and Angie, Longbine is the daughter of Jason and Rachel.
National 4-H Week is a time of 4-H celebration from Oct. 5-11 with festivities scheduled all week by the Washington County Extension Office. 4-H flags are proudly hanging in four communities this week to help celebrate National 4-H Week.
The Highlander 4-H Club meets the second Sunday of the month at the Ainsworth Fire Station with leaders Stephanie Sexton, Angie Sandburg, and Jeanna Gerot. Contact the Washington County Extension Office, 319-653-4811, for more information on how to join or volunteer for this club.
