Flea market, craft show in Bentonsport

BENTONSPORT ? Bentonsport Historic District will be having the Annual Flea Market and Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The event will include local artist demonstrations, various outside vendors with antiques, crafts, jewlry, photography, woodcrafts, tools, flea market treasures and more. New vendors are welcome.

Sub sandwiches, fudge, brownies, pies, tenderloins, pulled pork and walking tacos will be available.

A fundraising bake sale with all the Van Buren school football, wrestling and basketball cheer squads will have homemade baked goods available for goodwill donations.

The Bentonsport antique, craft and artisan shops, fudge shop, Indian Artifact Museum and the Mason House Inn will be open. The Bentonsport modern campsites along the Des Moines River are available on a first-come basis.

During the same weekend in the Villages of Van Buren, there will be Chocolate Tasting at 1 p.m. Saturday, a pottery tour in Bonaparte, the End of Summer Motorcycle Rally in Keosauqua and Milton Fun Day.
