Larry and Donna Fletcher attended the wedding of their grandson, Fletcher Green to Samantha Milder at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021. Parents of the couple are Steve and Pam Green of Washington and John and Amy Milder of Iowa City.
Fletcher is a first grade teacher at Williamsburg Community School and Samantha teaches second grade in the Solon Community School District.
The couple are making their home in North Liberty.
Sonya Love-Smith and daughter Audrey recently moved to Keosauqua, Iowa, to make their home where Sonya will be teaching Kindergarten at Van Buren Elementary School in Douds and Audrey will be a Freshman at Van Buren Jr.-Sr. High School in Keosauqua.
On Saturday, Aug. 14, Carolyn Love, Betsy and Preston Lasek, Maggie, Tyler and Kinsley Robertson and Kenny Kruse all went to Keosauqua, where they joined Sonya and Audrey and enjoyed taking part in the J40 Farm Crawl. They had breakfast at an Amish school, toured a greenhouse and went for a horse drawn wagon ride, the Bloom and Bark Farm, where there were many artisans, including some that did glass blowing and other crafts. They went to a small country bakery where the baked items were on shelves and there were no attendants and people were on the honor system to pay. They also visited the Dutchman's Store in Cantril and the Milton Creamery. All in all, a very fun day!
District Governor Nancy Oehler Love

She has been a Lion since 2003 when Lion Arvid Anderson, a charter member of the Crawfordsville Lions Club met up with her while she was walking her dog one afternoon, soon after moving to Crawfordsville, and invited her to join the club.
"Rev. Nancy" he said, "You need to be a Lion!" Since then, District Governor Nancy has served as vice president and president of her local club and currently serves as secretary, an office she has held since 2009. She is a graduate of the Great Plains Lions Leadership Institute and the Advanced Lions Leadership Institute. She has earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Lions University and has attended two USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forums with a third on the way, as well as the Centennial Convention in Chicago.
When asked what makes District Governor Nancy so passionate about everything Lions, she replied, "seeing the enthusiasm among members of the individual clubs is contagious, for Lions are "Loving individuals Offering Needed Services." Her favorite quote from Lions International President Douglas Alexander is this: "Service to others is the rent we pay for the space we occupy on earth."
As District Governor, Nancy will be visiting the different clubs in the district promoting the service that Lions are known for, service from the heart with the power of love, for the motto of Lions Clubs International is: We Serve!
