Fleur de Lis

Fleur de Lis Club members met at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at the home of Linda Birney and carpooled to Reha Nursery west of Wellman. Nancy Kimmel served as hostess for the afternoon.

Members enjoyed viewing the various annual and perennial plants and containers filled with flower ideas. A lot of variety and color was evident in the greenhouses.

Dessert and conversation were enjoyed at DJ Diner in Wellman on the way home, courtesy of the hostess. Nancy Kimmel, president, presided over a short business meeting. Roll call was answered with each telling of their plans for the three-day Memorial weekend. The secretary and treasurer reports were given by Linda Birney. Following the meeting the hostess delivered belated May baskets to members with a treat inside. A joke and several readings were read by the hostess and copies sent home with each.

The next meeting will be Thursday, June 26, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. with Marie Hora hostess.
