Fleur de Lis Club

Eight members of Fleur-de-Lis Club met on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 at 12:30 p.m in the home of Linda Birney for their annual salad luncheon.

Members enjoyed a variety of tasty salads, chicken casserole and lively conversation around the dining room table with candy-filled Christmas shopping-bag favors.

Following the luncheon, Nancy Kimmel, president, conducted a short business meeting. Roll call was answered with members telling of a family Christmas tradition or memory. A variety of answers added humor to the meeting. Minutes of the last meeting and treasurer?s report were read by Secretary-Treasurer Linda Birney. Christmas cards were signed for two inactive members, Shirley Whisler and Martha Witthoft.

Following the meeting, members selected a wrapped gift from the hostess and the Left-Right game, using the 'Twas the Night before Christmas reading, to pass the gifts amongst the participants. Gifts were opened and the Left-Right Nativity Story was read to complete the game.

The club will vacation and not meet during the month of January. Kathy Ebert will make arrangements for the Feb. 26, 2015 husband?s/guest night out at 6 p.m.
