FMS honors Students of Month
Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School Students of the Month award to acknowledge positive contributions of students, from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model.
The Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade-level teaching team.

Fifth-graders honored
Sophia Fritz was selected as a fifth-grade April Student of the Month. Her certificate states, ?Sophia has shown tremendous improvement in her work. She has been putting good effort into everything she does. She is willing to put in extra time on her assignments and it shows in the results. She is always responsible about getting things done on time. Sophia has a good attitude and a smile on her face each day!?
Dylan Hunter was selected as a fifth-grade April Student of the Month. His certificate states, ?Dylan is respectful and responsible in all areas of his life. He goes above and beyond classroom expectations without being asked. Whether being the leader or an active listener in a group, Dylan shares his love of the subject while ensuring that all have an understanding of the matter.?
Sixth-graders recognized
Trisha Westphal was selected as a sixth-grade April Student of the Month. Her certificate states, ?Trisha displays Trojan PRIDE consistently, as she is prepared everyday and is extremely dependable on getting work done on time. Trisha shows a great work ethic and attitude, striving to do her best at all times.?
Eli Moore was selected as a sixth-grade April Student of the Month. His certificate states, ?Eli has been working extremely well with others and has had a positive attitude toward learning. He has chosen to do the right things and is a great example of Trojan PRIDE through his actions and words. Eli?s great work ethic throughout the month has made impacts on his learning as well as others in the classroom.?
Seventh-graders selected
Erica Olson was selected as a seventh-grade April Student of the Month. Her certificate states, ?Erica is a very good student, and has a terrific sense of humor. Erica is a hard worker, and she uses her class time wisely. She is a conscientious student, always following up with teachers when she?s absent to attain what she?s missed. She works well with others, often exhibiting a high degree of patience with her peers.?
Cowen Ferreira was selected as a seventh-grade April Student of the Month. His certificate states, ?Cowen is very dependable; as he can always be counted on to do the right thing. He cares very much about his work and never gives up. He shows initiative and really sees it as his responsibility to learn. Cowen uses his class time well and works well with his peers.?
Eighth-graders acknowledged
Bryanna Popejoy was selected as an eighth-grade April Student of the Month. Her certificate states, ?Bryanna has shown great Trojan PRIDE throughout her time at Fairfield Middle School. She is always prepared for class and often goes above and beyond expectations in the quality of her work. She is extremely dependable and responsible. You can count on her to always have assignments done and if she does miss class, she will return with work completed.Bryanna has really grown as a leader this year as well. She has taken a lead role on the robotics team, helping to organize drivers and coaches during league matches and helping younger team members learn how to do all the things that need to be done to prepare for competitions. ... Popejoy will continue to represent our community well as she moves on to high school.?
Cody Wise was selected as an eighth-grade April Student of the Month. His certificate states, ?Cody is a very hard worker and is conscientious about doing his assignments in a timely manner. Always positive in and out of the classroom, Cody is involved in several activities, and has a very cooperative spirit. He is dependable and helpful to others. Cody shows Trojan PRIDE daily and we are pleased for him to receive this award.?
