FMS honors Students of Month

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School ?Students of the Month? award to acknowledge positive contributions of students at school.

The ?Students of the Month? certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade-level teaching team.

Ivy Larsen is a fifth-grade January Student of the Month. Her certificate states: ?Ivy shows her Trojan PRIDE all day long with quiet perseverance in her journey for knowledge. Even with learning as her focus, Ivy is never too busy to lend a helping hand to her classmates or the adults. She is a constant reminder to let our actions speak louder than our words. Ivy is a role model for all.?

Maxwell Weaton also is a fifth-grade January Student of the Month. His certificte states, ?Max is a hard worker and strives to do his work well and on time. He has a kind heart and is always looking out for others. He is always willing to help out in any situation. Max is a great example of Trojan PRIDE.?

Brendon Marcellus has been selected as a sixth-grade January Student of the Month. His certificate states: ?Brendon has a positive attitude toward learning. He chooses to do the right thing and is a great example of Trojan PRIDE through his words and actions. Brendon is an extremely hard-working student who strives to do his best at all times.?

Danielle Breen also is a sixth-grade January Student of the Month. Her certificate states: ?Danielle has a strong desire to learn. She is a leader in the classroom and is always willing to help her classmates. Danielle always has a kind smile for everyone and treats everyone with respect.?

Alyson Reid is a seventh-grade January Student of the Month. Her certificate states: ?Alyson has a great sense of humor and a positive attitude about learning. She works very well with others, and has a great work ethic. The product she turns in is always quality.?

Kyle Godwin also is a seventh-grade January Student of the Month. His certificate states: ?Kyle works very hard. He really tries to thoroughly understand the material and he will ask for help when it?s needed. Also, he?s willing to take a risk, which can be such a vital part of learning?

Megan Higgins is an eighth-grade January Student of the Month ?because she exemplifies Trojan PRIDE every single day. She is very involved here at FMS and is a positive leader and role model, a hard working and respectful student, and let us not forget a talented singer and musician. Megan is kind to others and can always be trusted to do the right thing.?

Anthony Osborn also is an eighth-grade January Student of the Month. His certificate states: ?Anthony demonstrates Trojan PRIDE daily, as you can always count on him to do the right thing. Anthony always comes to class with a positive attitude and is ready to learn. He works really hard in class and is respectful to all his teachers and peers.?
