FMS honors Students of Month
Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School Students of the Month award to acknowledge positive contributions of students at school, such as assisting teachers and peers to displaying characteristics as a role model.
The Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade-level teaching team.

Kylie Martin was chosen as a fifth-grade Student of the Month for November. Her certificate states, ?She is a wonderful example of Trojan PRIDE and is seen carrying these out daily in the classroom and out. She is always helping others out when needed with classroom work, carrying things, or even helping others clean their desks. She is a great role model to classmates ...?
Spencer Hilger was selected as a fifth-grade Student of the Month for November. His certificate state, ?Spencer is a true example of what Trojan PRIDE should look like. He is kind to his fellow classmates and helps them when he can. He shows patience and understanding when working with others. He works hard in class, always trying to challenge himself.?
The sixth-grade team announced that Mitchell Thacker was selected as a November Student of the Month. His certificate stated, ?Mitchell works well with others and has a positive attitude towards learning and sharing each and every day. He chooses to do the right thing and is a great example of Trojan PRIDE through his words and actions. Mitchell is an extremely hard-working student who strives to do his best at all times.?
The sixth-grade team also announced that Claire Pettit was selected as a November Student of the Month. Her certificate states, ?Claire was selected because she brings a smile, positive attitude, and enthusiastic energy to the classroom every day. She is helpful to other students, and is always dependable. She shows her Trojan PRIDE by coming to class prepared on a daily basis and working hard to do her best.?
Orion Haessler was chosen by the seventh-grade team as a November Student of the Month. His certificate states, ?Orion is a very positive person, with a clever sense of humor. His work ethic is tenacious, always striving to give his best. Orion is also very patient, and has the ability to work well with a wide variety of peers.?
The seventh-grade team also selected Hailey Pohren-Gevock as a November Student of the Month. Her certificate states, ?Hailey works incredibly hard, seeing tasks through until she gets them done right. She sets goals for herself, and does not rest until the goal is attained. Hailey is intrinsically motivated to do her best, which is highly appreciated by all her teachers.?
The eighth-grade team announced that Terrin Frick was selected as a November Student of the Month. Her certificate states, ?Terrin has worked hard on her classes and has had a great attitude. She works very hard every day and shows Trojan PRIDE by trying her best in everything she does. Terrin has also been a great team player and leader in her classes by helping classmates when she can.?
River Norwood is the eight-grade boy selected as November Student of the Month. His certificate states, ?A quiet young man, River has shown by his example what hard work and dedication can accomplish. A gifted writer, River has also put forth a positive attitude, and proven to be reliable and responsible where his schoolwork and education are concerned.?
