FMS honors Students of Month

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School ?Students of the Month? award to acknowledge positive contributions of students at school ranging from assisting teachers and peers in classroom activities to displaying characteristics as a role model.

The Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade-level teaching team.

Kordy Taylor was selected as a March Student of the Month for fifth-grade. Her certificate states, ?Kordy always tries her best in everything, and is respectful to adults and peers. She is willing to help others, and is very responsible and always has her work done on time. She is a great example of Trojan PRIDE!?

Zachary Holcomb is a fifth-grade Student of the Month for March. His certificate states, ?Zach is a very diligent thinker. He is willing to participate in class discussions and never hesitates to explain his reasoning. He follows Trojan PRIDE in and out of the classroom. Zach brings a positive attitude and dedication to learning to class at all times. His strong work ethic and desire to be a leader makes Zach an excellent choice.?

Maxx Anderson was selected as a sixth-grade Student of the Month for March. His certificate states: ?Maxx is a leader both in and out of the classroom, and is eager to help others who are in need. He is a conscientious student who works hard at doing well on assignments and getting them in on time. He is a very active participant in projects we do for those in need, such as the food drive for the Lord?s Cupboard and Pennies For Patients, while motivating others to do the same. Maxx shows his Trojan Pride in many ways.?

Chloe Stever was chosen as a sixth-grade Student of the Month for March. Her certificate states, ?Chloe?s display of TROJAN PRIDE is truly evident and appreciated each and every day. Her focus, hard work, honesty, and willingness to work with others in and out of the classroom have clearly been observed by her teachers and classmates.?

Amber Burroughs was selected as a seventh-grade Student of the Month for March. Her certificate states,?Amber works hard on all tasks, and is a focused learner. She is always prepared for class, both physically and mentally. Amber has a determined tenacity about her, which is appreciated by her teachers, and admired by her classmates.?

Shane Morrissey was selected as a seventh-grade Student of the Month for March. His certificate states, ?Shane is talented in many areas, and he knows how to have fun. Shane is a diligent worker, and has a deep desire to learn. He is a willing participant in class, and asks thoughtful questions.?

Amanda Carminhato was selected as an eighth-grade Student of the Month for March. Her certificate states, ?Amanda participates in class and always offers a unique perspective in discussion. She works hard on every assignment and is dependable about getting her work in on time. Always a bright spot in class, Amanda personifies the Trojan PRIDE ideal.?

Finnegan Malloy was selected as an eighth-grade Student of the Month for March. His certificate states, ?Finn is an affable young man who is more than willing to share his knowledge and expertise with others. A student who knows right from wrong, Finn can be counted on to do the right thing and to have assignments completed well. Active in sports and drama alike, Finn can be looked on as a leader among his peers and counted on to set a good example. Polite and cheerful, Finn is a welcome addition to the classroom.?
