FMS honors Students of Month for January

Each school month, the Fairfield Elks Lodge sponsors the Fairfield Middle School 'Students of the Month” award to acknowledge positive contributions of students at school, ranging from assisting teachers and peers to displaying characteristics as a role model in and out of the classroom.
The Students of the Month certificates are awarded after a nomination and voting process is completed by each grade-level teaching team.
Spencer McCready is a fifth-grade January Student of the Month. His certificate states, 'Spencer strives to improve the quality of his work by putting in extra effort. He always has a positive attitude and does a great job of contributing to class discussions. Spencer uses integrity and leads by example. He is a good role model for his peers.”
Ava Connor is a fifth-grade Student of the Month. Her certificate states she 'has strived to put academic first. She is a leader and is intrinsically motivated to achieve success. When the task is difficult, Ava puts her nose to the grindstone.”
Gage Wheeler is a sixth-grade Student of the Month. His certificate states, 'He works hard and participates in class every day. He is willing to share his thinking with others and comes to class prepared to learn. He is respectful to his teachers and peers.”
Kayse Miller is a sixth-grade Student of the Month. Her certificate states, 'Kayse is a quiet leader, and works with those who need help around her, even when she isn't asked to do so. Kayse has a strong work ethic and a strong desire to learn.”
Seth Flynn is a seventh-grade Student of the Month. His certificate states, 'Seth is viewed as a positive student with a sunny attitude. His teachers describe him as respectful, a hard worker, and contributes to his learning. He also is a student that continually keeps working toward success, no matter what road blocks he may encounter. He does not let those road blocks deter his attitude and helpfulness”
Arianna Turnbough is a seventh-grade Student of the Month. Her certificate states, 'Arianna is a friendly girl that has a positive outlook on the tasks she has been given. The team recognizes that she is a hard worker and sets the bar high for herself. Even though she works hard to achieve her goals, she brings fun and peppiness to her classrooms.”
Jack Unger is an eighth-grade Student of the Month. His certificate states, 'Jack has demonstrated Trojan PRIDE in the classroom by being respectful to both his peers and his classmates. He comes to class prepared and ready to learn. He works well with his fellow classmates and lends a helping hand whenever he can. Teachers can count on Jack to voluntarily contribute to and participate in both class discussions and activities.”
Viola Welsh is an eighth-grade Student of the Month. Her certificate states she 'demonstrates Trojan PRIDE in and out of the classroom. She is always well mannered and respectful. During class, she works well with others and continuously puts forth her best effort.”
