It?s that time of year again to dust off the trumpet, clarinet or drum sticks ? summer band camp for Fairfield Middle School students will be Monday through July 29.
Rehearsals for incoming sixth-grade students will be 8-9:15 a.m. each weekday. Rehearsals for incoming seventh- and eighth-grade band students will be from 9:45-11 a.m. each weekday.
Incoming sixth-grade students should bring their red lesson books to rehearsals, and students in seventh- and eighth-grade band should bring copies of ?Espana Cani.? All students should take along a pencil. Percussionists should bring all necessary sticks and mallets.
All sessions will be held at Fairfield High School due to the asbestos removal process at the middle school. Students should enter through the northeast commons doors and look for signs to direct them to the rehearsal location.
Registration will still be accepted on the first day of camp. Fees are $40, with checks payable to Fairfield Band Aides.
