FMS wrestling concludes

The Fairfield Middle School wrestling team, which featured 16 eighth-graders and four seventh-graders this winter, concluded the season Monday at a meet in Ottumwa. The young Trojan wrestlers combined to produce a match record of 170 wins and 155 losses during the year, and several individuals produced standout seasons. Michael Fritz finished the year undefeated at 21-0, pinning each of his opponents and never getting scored on. Charles Heisel and Trenton Hanen both finished with only one loss, as Hanen fought to a 15-1 record and Heisel was 5-1 in his injury-shortened season.
