Food Safe 101 class offered Feb. 7
The Jefferson County ISU Extension and Outreach office will host a Safe Food 101 class from 1-4 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Extension office.
The class includes a basic safe food handling overview for those working where food is prepared and served away from home.

The Jefferson County ISU Extension and Outreach office will host a Safe Food 101 class from 1-4 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Extension office.
The class includes a basic safe food handling overview for those working where food is prepared and served away from home.
After completing the class, participants will be able to identify: the importance of food safety; good personal hygiene; how to control the time and temperature of food; how to prevent cross-contamination when storing, prepping and serving food; and how and when to clean and sanitize surfaces.
The cost is $35, with checks to be made payable to Jefferson County Extension.
