Food safety training, certification class registration due Tuesday
Jefferson County ISU Extension and Outreach is offering ServSafe Food Safety Training certification for foodservice managers and workers from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 9.

Jefferson County ISU Extension and Outreach is offering ServSafe Food Safety Training certification for foodservice managers and workers from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 9.
The class will be taught by Sara Sprouse, a human sciences specialist in nutrition and wellness, with ISU Extension.
Topics will include: providing safe food; contamination and food allergens; the safe food handler; flow of food: purchasing, receiving, storage; flow of food: preparation and service; cleaning and sanitizing; pest management; facilities and equipment; and food safety management systems.
The class meets certified food protection manager requirements.
A photo ID is required to take the certification exam.
The class size is limited. The registration fee is $150. Registration is due Tuesday.
