Forum planned for Pekin school board candidates

Candidate for the Pekin Community School District Board of Directors will participate in a forum at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27 at the Pekin Media Center.

Three seats of the Pekin school board will be on the ballot on Tuesday, Nov. 2: Director District 3, Director District 5, and Director District At-Large. Each district has two running for the position.

The candidates on the ballot will be District 3: Mark Wittrock (incumbent) and Ray Fear; District 5: John J. Greiner (incumbent) and Katie Stanley Keith; and District At-Large: Jared Schultz (incumbent) and Kortney Baumberger. All six candidates will be at the forum to answer questions from the moderator.

If time permits, there will also be one or two questions from the community. These questions must be submitted in advance, they may be emailed to The Clarion-Plainsman at clarion@iowatelecom.net. They must be received by the end of the day on Friday, Oct. 22.
