Founders Day program planned
MOUNT PLEASANT ? Iowa Wesleyan College will celebrate 170 years of service to southeast Iowa with a free, public Founders Day program, at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel Auditorium.
?Iowa Wesleyan College: Traditions and Trivia? will highlight a number of unique, interesting facets of the college. Speakers will explore campus landmarks, student life, athletics and music over the years.

Music will be provided by the Iowa Wesleyan College Choir and the IWC Jazz Band.
Iowa Wesleyan College was founded Feb, 17, 1842, when the Territorial Legislature granted a charter for the Mt. Pleasant Literary Institute, which evolved into Iowa Wesleyan College.
