Four area blood drives set
Fairfield financial institutions will sponsor a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the lower-level community room of First National Bank in Fairfield.
Donors who last gave blood on or before April 17 are eligible to donate again.

Lockridge Fire and Rescue will sponsor a blood drive from 3:30-7:30 p.m. June 18 at the Lockridge Senior Center.
Donors who last gave on or before April 23 are eligible to donate again.

The Batavia community is sponsoring a blood drive from 3-7 p.m. June 19 at the Batavia Senior Citizen Community Center.

According to Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center officials, blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about an hour to complete.
Donors must be at least 16 years old, in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds. A blood donor card or other photo identification is required. A 16-year-old donor must present a signed parental consent form each time he or she donates. The forms are available at www.bloodcenter.org.
