Four blood drives planned Dec. 5, 6, 9

Four blood drives are planned in Fairfield Dec.5 and 6 and Dec. 9.

St. Mary Catholic Church will host a Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center from 2:30-6:30 p.m. Dec. 5 in the parish hall.

Donors who last gave blood on or before Oct. 10 are eligible to participate.

Cambridge Investment Research will host a blood drive from 12:30-5 p.m. Dec. 6.

Donors who last gave blood on or before Oct. 11 are eligible to participate.

A blood drive will be held from 2-7 pm. Dec. 6 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Activity Building.

Donors must be at least 16 years old, be in good health and weigh at least 110 pounds.

A blood donor card or other photo identification is required to donate; 16-year-old donors must present a signed parental consent form, available from blood center offices.

People with controlled high blood pressure and diabetics are eligible to donate blood.
