Four charged with alcohol-related offenses

A request for assistance led to alcohol-related charges being filed against four individuals.

The Henry County Sheriff?s Office received a request Oct. 6 from a probation officer for assistance in the 2000 grid of 255th Street. While assisting the probation officer, it was determined that alcohol was being consumed by individuals under the legal age.

Charges were brought against Kaleb Jalas, 20, Mt. Pleasant, possession of alcohol under the legal age; Kasey Kirby 19, Mt. Pleasant, social host of an alcoholic party; and two juveniles were cited with possession of alcohol under the legal age. All charges are simple misdemeanors.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
