The Nov. 16 meeting of the Franklin Cubs 4-H group was held at the Washington County Extension Office at 5:30 p.m., with eight members attending and food and beverages provided by club leader Mike Berdo.
Jameson Bell led the Pledge of Allegiance. Eight attending members answered the roll call of what they are thankful for. The secretary?s and treasurer?s reports were given and approved by the group. Old and new business was discussed.
It was motioned and approved that the annual Christmas gift exchange be replaced by a donation of two or three nonperishable food items to HACAP by each member. The club also elected to have its annual Christmas party at the Washington Pizza Ranch on Dec. 21. Ideas for the annual field trip were discussed with further decision making to resume at the next meeting.
Collin Greiner led the 4-H pledge, adjourning the meeting. Presentations were given by Jameson Bell on carpentry tools and by Ben Schneider on theories of gravitation.
