Frederick named to 2025 American Academy of Nursing

Ryannon Frederick a graduate of Fairfield High School has been named to the 2025 American Academy of Nursing.

Ryannon K. Frederick, MS, RN, is the Chief Nursing Officer for the Department of Nursing, Mayo Clinic and Chair for the Department of Nursing in Rochester, Minnesota and Mayo’s Midwest practice.

Ryannon served as the chief nursing officer at Mayo Clinic in Florida from 2016 to 2019 and prior to that, served as the chief nursing officer of Mayo Clinic Health System — Southwest Minnesota region.

Ryannon began her career at Mayo Clinic as part of Rochester’s Summer III Program in 1999 before joining Mayo as a registered nurse in 2000. Since then, she’s held roles as a nurse educator, manager, and administrator, and she has served on several committees at Mayo Clinic.

Ryannon holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science in Nursing and Health Care Systems Administration from the University of Minnesota
