Free grief support program to begin Wednesday, Jan. 18
HCI Hospice Care Services? free, educational grief support group, ?Understanding Your Grief,? starts Jan. 18.
The group will be using material from Dr. Alan Wolfelt and the Center for Loss and Life Transition. It will meet in the conference room of Jefferson County Health Center, located at 2000 S. Main St., in Fairfield, from 1 to 3 p.m., on Wednesdays, for eight weeks.

HCI Hospice Care Services? free, educational grief support group, ?Understanding Your Grief,? starts Jan. 18.
The group will be using material from Dr. Alan Wolfelt and the Center for Loss and Life Transition. It will meet in the conference room of Jefferson County Health Center, located at 2000 S. Main St., in Fairfield, from 1 to 3 p.m., on Wednesdays, for eight weeks.
Participants will receive copies of Dr. Wolfelt?s book ?Understanding Your Grief? and ?The Understanding Your Grief Journal.? Groups will learn about Dr. Wolfelt?s 10 essential touchstones for finding hope and healing through loss. These touchstones include dispelling the misconceptions about grief, embracing the uniqueness of your grief and understanding the six needs of mourning.
The groups are free and open to the public, however space is limited. Therefore, pre-registration is required.
