Free income tax services coming to Brighton
Need tax help, but can't afford to pay for it? Are you confused by the tax law changes and which exemptions, deductions and credits you can claim? The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program can help you complete basic tax returns free of charge. Volunteer tax assistors have completed an IRS training and certification course. Need tax help, but can't afford to pay for it? Are you confused by the tax law changes and which exemptions, deductions and credits you can claim? The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program can help you complete basic tax returns free of charge. Volunteer tax assistors have completed an IRS training and certification course. Federal and state returns are able to be filed electronically.
VITA offers free assistance to those with low-to-moderate incomes under $53,000. Help with basic income tax returns will be offered by appointment only on Feb. 7, 14 and 21 in the afternoon at the Brighton Community Center.
