KEOSAUQUA ? A free movie, ?Agenda.? will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Roberts Memorial Building in Keosauqua.
?Agenda? is produced by Curtis Bowers, a former Idaho Legislator, detailing his research of the last 20 years.
When he wrote a ?Letter to the Editor? about the drastic changes in America?s culture, it became the feature story on the evening news. People protested at the capitol, and for weeks the local newspapers were filled with responses.
He realized then he?d hit on something.
Ask almost anyone and you?ll hear, ?Communism is dead! The Berlin Wall came down.? Though the word communism isn?t used anymore, the film will show the ideas behind it are alive and well.
Join Bowers for a fascinating look at the people and groups that have successfully targeted America?s morality and freedom in their effort to grind America down. It is a well documented agenda, according to Take a Stand, which is sponsoring the event.
Beginning with Lenin, it documents the growth of the socialist movement through Karl Marx, Charles Darwin and John Dewey to organizations which gained ground in the 1960s. It follows them through to present day events.
There are many speakers in the movie including U.S. Rep. Steve King, Edwin Meese III, Tim Wildmon, Phyllis Schlafly and Trevor Loudon.
It touches issues of concern to many people today who are noticing changes in today?s culture in areas of government, education, labor and media. Some see a correlation between Germany of World War II and today.
The evening is sponsored by The Family Leader and Take a Stand. Danny Carroll of The Family Leader will introduce the movie.
