Free mulch in Fairfield
Fairfield has free mulch available at the lot south of Fairfield Hy-Vee Food and Drug Store, along Jefferson Avenue near 12th Street.
The city will have a loader and operator available to load mulch from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, with a rain date the following Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon May 4.
Residents are welcome to load mulch on their own or contact the city?s maintenance shed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays ...

Fairfield has free mulch available at the lot south of Fairfield Hy-Vee Food and Drug Store, along Jefferson Avenue near 12th Street.
The city will have a loader and operator available to load mulch from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, with a rain date the following Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon May 4.
Residents are welcome to load mulch on their own or contact the city?s maintenance shed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays by calling 472-4750 to make an appointment for a city employee to use a loader to load mulch into pickup trucks and/or dump trucks.
The city will not be held liable for any damages that may occur in the loading process.
