Free parent engagement training

Quad County Decategorization is hosting a free parent engagement training. This is a two-part training, the first will be an interactive webinar on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 1 p.m. followed by an in-person training in Burlington on Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Effective parental engagement develops leadership skills and supports a program's success. Many programs struggle with knowing how to engage and maintain involvement of these parents. This training will help programs maximize relationships with parents and provide strategies and tools to effectively engage program participants.

Participants will:

' Identify the benefits and challenges of parent leadership development

' Learn the key steps to parent engagement

' Begin action planning for developing and strengthening these relationships
