Free square dance class, dance set

A free square dance class and dance is planned from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Fairfield Eagles Club.

According to Sarvani Viger-Edson of the Fairfield Square Dance Club, modern western square dancing has made a comeback in Fairfield during the last three years, with more than 200 people taking the series of 12 lessons.

Monday will be a chance to see what all the fun is about, said Viger-Edson, ?and believe it or not, you?ll be dancing with the first beat of the music.?

Those attending should enter the Eagles Club through the northeast door.

Robin Ragen of Ottumwa will be leading the festivities.

For those who catch the bug, the next 12-week series of lessons will begin at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 11.
