Educators are invited to attend an upcoming free seminar focusing on engaging families to support student acheivement.
Keynote speaker, Steve Constantino will present ?An Introduction to the Five Simple Principles of Creating a Culture that Engages Every Family?. Attendees will learn the importance of family engagement in the academic lives and success of learners. Those in attendance will also learn how to create a culture that is conducive to engaging students? families.
The seminar is set for June 14 and June 15, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center.
Constantino has presented to thousands of teachers, administrators, and school board members across the U.S., Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
Together with his staff and families, Constantino has led his school to many awards and recognitions, including a top honor as Time Magazine?s High School of the Year.
Currently, he is the superintendent of schools in Williamsburg, Va. Constantino has also launched a company devoted to family engagement training, as well as a college professor and author of three books on the subject of family engagement with education.
